🌟What You Need:
These are the supplies you will need to make one mini sherpa ghost decoration.
- 6-Inch Styrofoam Cone – if you end up with a cone shape that has a tip on it, you will need to cut that off before gluing the ball on. It needed to be flat.
- 3.8” Styrofoam Ball
- White Sherpa Material or something similar
- Fake Small Pumpkin – I used the largest pumpkins shown in the picture from Amazon. You could totally get these from the dollar store for cheaper.
- Felt – to cut the eyes out. You need 2 pieces so check your craft scraps.
- Glue Stick – for the glue gun
- Hot Glue Gun – this is a little cheap glue gun. My favorite is the Ryobi cordless glue gun. It’s more expensive but totally worth if if you are crafter. I like that there’s no cord and it has a fine tip which is great for precision projects.
👻How to Make Mini DIY Sherpa Ghost Crafts
STEP 1: Before starting add a stick of glue to the glue gun and let it heat.
STEP 2: Cut two ovals for the eyes from the felt that are 1.5 inches.
STEP 3: Hot glue the styrofoam ball in the center of the top of the cone.
STEP 3: Lay the sherpa material over top so it’s draped evenly on all sides.
STEP 4: In the front, fold the sherpa material for the hands on each side.
STEP 5: Hot glue the mini pumpkins to the folded fabric.
STEP 6: Attach the felt eyes using hot glue.
💡Helpful Tips
- I prefer not to glue the sherpa to the cone body so it stores neater and easier.
- If you can find sherpa blankets on sale you could use those instead.
- These mini ghosts are 9.8 inches tall. If you use taller cones you will need more material. Just measure beforehand.
Happy Halloween guys! I hope you love this cute and easy Halloween ghost craft! Stick around, because we have TONS of Halloween games, activities, and ideas for you to explore!
DIY Mini Halloween Sherpa Ghosts
Recreate the sherpa ghosts for a fraction of the price of the reall Pottery Barn ones in less than 30 minutes!
Materials
Tools
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors (to cut the felt)
Instructions
- Let the glue gun heat up and insert a glue stick.
- Cut the eyes out of the felt. These are 1.5 inches.
- Hot glue the styrofoam so it's centered on top of the cone.
- Drape the sherpa fabric over the cone body so it's even on both sides.
- On both sides, in the front, fold the sherpa. This is for the "hands" that will hold the pumpkin.
- Hot glue the pumpkin to both sides of the folded areas. Hold in place for a few seconds to make sure you don't need more glue.
- Hot glue the felt eyes in place.
Notes
- Check the dollar store for materials first, sometimes they will be cheaper.
- Be sure the cone has a flat top, if not cut the point off with a knife before starting.
- I don't glue the sherpa to the cone so it's easier to store after the season, but you can if you want to.
- Replace the mini pumpkins with other embellishments if you like.
