Free Printable Christmas Lights Bingo Scavenger Game
Christmas lights bingo is so much fun for the whole family! As you drive around and look at Christmas decorations, you can go on a Christmas lights scavenger hunt at the same time!
I know I have said in the past that fall was my favorite time of the year, but the Christmas season is my actual fave. Fall is all about the weather, but I absolutely LOVE the holiday spirit that December brings.
Some of our other favorite Christmas traditions besides looking at holiday lights are making an advent calendar (free printable), hosting a hot cocoa bar, having an ugly sweater party where we play Christmas music bingo, and of course watching all of the Christmas movies we can find.

✨Christmas Lights Bingo Game Instructions
This is really just like traditional bingo as for how the rules go. But instead of numbers there are words describing Christmas lights, such as candy canes, blue lights, Christmas trees, etc. Since you will be driving around, there are not calling cards either.
As you are riding around looking at light displays, simply mark off the ones you see.
🎄What You Need
Since you will be in the car or walking around, we don’t recommend using traditional bingo markers like you would with fall bingo or Thanksgiving bingo. Also, young kids may need a little help reading the cards.
- Printer & paper – to print out the christmas light scavenger hunt
- Daubers or a dot marker – you could also use regular pens or pencils or Christmas stickers.
🎅How to Win Bingo
There are a few variations of how to win Bingo.
- Traditional – any combination of 5 blocks. This can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.
- Full card (blackout bingo) – all squares on the card must be covered to win.
- Four corners – each of the corners have to be covered.
- Outer borders – only the borders of the card will be covered.

💡Helpful Tips
- If you want a more professional look or if you want the game to look a little prettier, use heavy white cardstock. The paper weight will vary, but as a reference regular paper is about 20lbs.
- Check your printer settings before starting for best results. No printer? Local print shops can help, and they are usually reasonably priced or you can check an online print shop.
- Laminating the game boards is a great way to make them last longer. Then instead of using the paper markers, you can use dry erase markers.
- If you don’t want to laminate, you can add the Christmas bingo printables to a sheet protector and still use dry erase markers.
Nothing gets you into the Christmas spirit like seeing all of the lights, while singing Christmas carols, and drinking a cup of hot chocolate! This is the perfect game for kids of all ages, and is a fun way to get the entire family to play!
