We love to add more holiday fun to our Thanksgiving celebration with printable games. It’s a fun way that the whole family or class can get involved, we even play on family fun night.

We also have fall bingo that we use for the rest of the season. There’s also our Christmas bingo that has a Spotify playlist to go along with it, so it’s basically music bingo that we use every year at our ugly sweater party.

To making Thanksgiving dinner more meaningful, grab our set of 32 conversation starters! Another game we like that is so much fun is Turkey Day Pictionary…really the laughs are endless!

Be sure to take advantage of our Thanksgiving coloring pages that are meant to be kids activity placemats for the table.

✨Thanksgiving Bingo Game Instructions

This is really just like the classic game of bingo as for how the rules go. But instead of numbers there are pictures and words to make it a fun Thanksgiving activity for the season, like pumpkin pie, turkey, and a pilgrim’s hat.

Set Up

  • Assign a player to be the caller.
  • Give each player a bingo card and 25 bingo markers.
  • Shuffle the calling cards (if you are using the large cutouts).
  • Determine which winning variation below you will play by.

How to Play

The caller will name an object. If any player has the object on their card, they should cover it with a marker. Place the card to the side or mark off the object on the full calling sheet.

Continuing calling cards until the first player shouts, “BINGO”! This may require reshuffling the cards and going back through them unless you print extra copies.

How to Win Bingo

There are a few variations of how to win Bingo.

  • Traditional – any combination of 5 objects. This can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.
  • Full card – all squares on the card must be covered to win.
  • Four corners – each of the corners have to be covered.
  • Outer borders – only the borders of the card will be covered.

What Happens Next?

After the first person wins bingo, you have two options. Have guests clear their cards and start over for a new game or continue playing, leaving their markers where they are. Older kids normally like a little bit of a challenge, so we recommend them clearing their cards.

Since their are 60 unique bingo cards included, you can always have them get a new card.

Feel free to offer small toys for prizes.

We also recommend switching out the bingo caller so everyone has a chance to play.

💡Helpful Tips

  • If you didn’t want to use the printable markers, you could use dot markers or candy corn (or whatever other game pieces you may have on hand).
  • If a more professional look or if you want the game to look a little prettier, use heavy white cardstock. The paper weight will vary, but as a reference regular paper is about 20lbs.
  • Check your printer settings before starting for best results. No printer? Local print shops can help, and they are usually reasonably priced or you can check an online print shop.
  • Laminating the printable cards is a great way to make them last longer. Then instead of using the paper markers, you can use dry erase markers.

Bingo is such a fun game to play with kids of all ages! Our Thanksgiving bingo game cards include words and pictures, so even younger kids can participate. It’s great for small groups or large groups consider how many cards come with the set.
