Printable Tips

  • The printable hot chocolate bar sign looks the best when printed on white cardstock that is about 80lbs in weight.
  • You can have these printed at your local print shop or at home.
  • If printing at home, be sure your ink levels are full and print at the high quality for best results.

Setting Up Your Hot Chocolate Bar Display

For starters, have your paper cups or cute mugs at the beginning of the station.

Next comes the hot chocolate station, because obviously we need our cocoa, before we can add our fun toppings.

If it’s too cold outside, you may be setting up indoors. A buffet table or bar cart are great options depending on the amount of space you have. Normally for holiday parties we set up everything on the island, but in this case we like to have the hot chocolate bar a little more out of the way since we serve lots of foods and sweet treats.

Last year we paired our chocolate bar with a s’mores and it was so much fun and the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Hot Cocoa Options

Homemade – make your own hot cocoa mix, all you need is 3 ingredients. This is a great idea to save some money for larger crowds.

Store bought – This is the easiest way and it can be served with hot water or hot milk. A fun way to display is in a glass canister in a cute apothecary jar.

Hot chocolate bomb – kids love this idea because they explode just before your eyes! You can make them homemade or grab some here.

This creamy hot chocolate recipe can be made and doubled in a slow cooker that will be best for a big crowd.
