This 4th of July memory game is a fun way to keep kids entertained during your red, white, and blue celebration and can be printed and played in a matter of minutes!

Even though concentration and memory games are fun, they are a great way to help young ones improve their skills! We are printing some for our Fourth of July celebration, but you could even make your own blank cards to help teach colors, numbers, letters, and shapes. 

Just because the memory cards follow a July 4th theme, you can use them for any patriotic party like Memorial Day, Labor Day, or Veteran’s Day.

✨4th of July Matching Game Instructions 

  1. Shuffle the cards well before starting. 
  2. Place each printable card face down. 
  3. Players will take turns flipping over one card, then the next, with the object being trying to make a pair. 
  4. If the cards match, the player keeps them. If they don’t match, turn them back over face down where they were originally. 
  5. The one with the most matching pairs wins!

👇How to Download and Print 

After entering your email address, you will receive a download link that will show on the screen. 

Download the printable memory game to your computer. These are delivered in a US Letter PDF format.

Open and print at least 2 copies of the match-up sheets. That will give you 24 pairs of cards. If you want to print double sided, you will need to adjust these settings before printing.

Once you have the memory matching game printed, use scissors or a paper trimmer to cut around each square. 


💡Helpful Tips


  • We love laminating our card sets to make them last longer. 
  • For the highest quality feel use a nice heavy card stock. 
  • Check ink levels before printing. No printer? Local print shops can help, and they are usually reasonably priced or you can check an online print shop. 
  • While you could use construction paper, some of the colors may not show up as well depending on color. 
  • If you need another size other than US Letter, check your printer settings.
