📌What You’ll Need
Cone Cellophane bags – you can find these at most craft stores, but I ordered on Amazon because I was lazy! A frosting bag can also be used, just be sure there’s no brand printed on them.
Hot chocolate powder – I grabbed ours from the Dollar Tree.
Mini marshmallows – also from Dollar Tree.
Mini chocolate chips – any variety can be used, but we really like milk chocolate.
Brown pipe cleaner – or any other color, but this will be for the reindeer antlers.
Googly eyes – After using google eyes with our elf ideas, I decided to buy a whole box of them because they were cheaper!
Red pom poms – for Rudolph’s nose.
Ribbon – to attach the printable tag to the adorable reindeer cocoa gifts.
Adhesive – use adhesive dots or hot glue to make sure the eyes and nose stay on. If you are using hot glue, make sure it’s not so hot that it will melt the bag. Glue dots are what we prefer, because I honestly hate messing with a hot glue gun if I don’t have to.
Funnel – this made it easier to layer the hot chocolate powder and chocolate chips without it getting all over the sides of the bag.
Each delicious treat will make one cup of hot cocoa.
✨Assembling the Reindeer Hot Cocoa Bags
Stand the plastic bag in a glass and roll the top of the bag over the edges so it’s stays in place and makes layering easier.
Add 2 bags of hot chocolate.
Then sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on top of the hot chocolate mix.
Add a layer of mini marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips.
Use a twist tie (or small rubber band) to seal up the top of the bag.
Place wiggle eyes about halfway down.
Glue a red pom-pom nose underneath.
Use the pipe cleaner for the antlers on top of the piping bag.
Thread the fun printable tag through a ribbon after hole punching and tie on top.
🦌Other Variations
You can also recreate this idea in a small mason jar.

Instead of a cone, add a bag of hot cocoa and the other ingredients in individual packaging and place it in a festive mug, then wrap in a cellophane bag.
Another cute gift idea is to layer these in a clear ornament. However, it will get mixed around in the process of gifting.

💡Helpful Tips
- Avoid buying hot cocoa powder that has the dehydrated marshmallows. They don’t look as pretty as the mini and there’s not enough in each packet for fill the top of the bag.
- A cone bag is different from a regular treat bag. The reindeer hot cocoa cones will not look the same if using regular bags.
- Chopped chocolate bars can be used in place of the chocolate chips if that’s what you have.
- For the highest quality feel use a nice heavy card stock for the printables.
- Check ink levels before printing. No printer? Local print shops can help, and they are usually reasonably priced or you can check an online print shop.
- If you need another size other than US Letter, check your printer settings.
