There are a few different variations of the handprint craft printables to choose from. This includes a pencil handprint, apple, and one for the 2024 school year. 

The cute handprint art templates can be used for the first day of preschool and kindergarten. 

  • Non-toxic paint or ink pad – you’ll also need a paper plate if you are using paint to dip the child’s hand in.

  1. Once your have printed file of choice, let the kids choose their favorite color of paint or ink. 
  2. Cover the child’s hand with the ink or dip it into paint. 
  3. Press their hand firmly on the paper without moving it around. 
  4. Let the hand print dry completely before moving it. 
  5. Wash the child’s hands, and you are all done!

  • We love laminating school activities like this to make them last longer. 
  • For best results, use a nice heavy card stock. 
  • Check your printer settings and ink levels first before printing your printable art. We recommend using the best quality mode for the most vibrant colors. 
  • No printer? Your local print shop can help, and they are usually reasonably priced or you can check an online print shop. 
  • While you could use construction paper, some of the colors may not show up as well depending on color. 
  • If you need another size other than US Letter, check your printer settings.
