✨How to Make Pipe Cleaner Icicles

Step 1: Bend the end of the pipe cleaner slightly. (This will help the beads to stay on the pipe cleaner during this activity.)

Step 2: Place desired amount and colors of pony beads on the pipe cleaner. Kids can make patterns with their beads.

💡Helpful Tips

  • Pre-bend the pipe cleaners before handing them to younger kids. This keeps beads from slipping off while they work.
  • Sort beads by color in small bowls to make pattern-making easier and more organized.
  • Use sparkly or metallic pipe cleaners for a frosty winter look that catches the light.
  • If you’re crafting with a group, cut pipe cleaners in half for shorter icicles and less waste.
  • Hang your finished icicles on a Christmas tree, window, or classroom bulletin board for a festive touch.
