Supplies & Materials

  • Potting soil or dirt
  • Vine leaves or artificial greenery
  • Toy shovel and rake
  • Real pumpkin seeds cleaned and dried
  • Small fake pumpkins foam or plastic
  • Pumpkin seed packet

Instructions

  • Fill your bin with soil or dirt.
  • Add leaves or greenery to mimic pumpkin vines.
  • Place pumpkins and a seed packet in the bin.
  • Give kids a shovel and rake to dig, scoop, and “plant.”
  • Pretend to grow pumpkins, harvest them, and replant seeds.
