Supplies & Materials
Potting soil or dirt
Vine leaves or artificial greenery
Toy shovel and rake
Real pumpkin seeds
cleaned and dried
Small fake pumpkins
foam or plastic
Pumpkin seed packet
Instructions
Fill your bin with soil or dirt.
Add leaves or greenery to mimic pumpkin vines.
Place pumpkins and a seed packet in the bin.
Give kids a shovel and rake to dig, scoop, and “plant.”
Pretend to grow pumpkins, harvest them, and replant seeds.
Notes
Use fake pumpkins for durability.
Add a small watering can for pretend play.
Keep a drop cloth under the bin for easy cleanup.
Store in a lidded bin so you can reuse all season.
