An easy fall sensory bin that uses colorful cereal and play apples for harvesting fun. Great for toddlers and preschoolers to practice scooping, sorting, and pretend play.

Apple Jacks cereal
Fake apples
foam or plastic
Small bowl
Cupcake liners
Scoop
Instructions
Pour a layer of Apple Jacks cereal into a bin or shallow container.
Place fake apples around the bin like they’ve fallen from trees.
Add the bowl, liners, and scoop for play.
How Kids Play:
Scoop Apple Jacks into bowls or liners to “harvest” the orchard.
Count, sort, or “sell” apples at a pretend stand.
Use the supplies for baking pretend apple treats.
Notes
Use a shallow bin for easier scooping.
Swap in red pom-poms if you don’t have fake apples.
Keep a dustpan nearby for quick cleanup.
Store leftover cereal in a sealed bag to reuse.
