I think this is probably one of my favorite Halloween activities to do when we host parties. Everyone always has such a great time trying guess what that one person writes in!
It’s also a great ice breaker game in the classroom. In a matter of minutes, kids will have a blast!

The actual size of the Finish the Phrase game is US Letter, but can be adjusted before you print in your printer settings area.
There’s not an answer key since this game solely relies on trying to guess the answers of the person who was nominated.
✨Halloween Finish the Phrase Game Instructions
- Someone will be chosen to fill in their answers of finishing the phrase.
- The rest of the players will try to guess what the person wrote down, by filing in the halloween-related word on the lines.
- The team member will the most correct answers wins!
There are several other ways you could play, and if you have a large group, you can turn this Halloween activity into were there’s 1 person per group who their phrase will be guessed.

If desired, use a nice heavy card stock (or you can just use regular paper).
Don’t have your own printer? Most local print shops have affordable printing.
💡Helpful Tips
- We love laminating our printable games to make them last longer.
- Cardstock will have the highest quality feel when it comes to printing. Depending on what you are using the printed materials for, regular paper may do just fine.
- For best results, check your ink levels before starting!
- If you need another size other than US Letter, check your printer settings.
