📌How to Make a Christmas Fruit & Dessert Snack Board
Prepare the Fruit Dip
In a large mixing bowl, combine whipped topping, marshmallow fluff, and cream cheese. Use a hand or stand mixer on medium speed to mix until the dip is smooth and fluffy. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and garnish with sanding sugar for a festive touch.
Decorate the Oreos
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt the white chocolate wafers according to the package instructions. Dip each Oreo halfway into the melted chocolate, then place it on the parchment to cool and set. For quicker results, refrigerate the dipped Oreos.
Next, melt the green chocolate wafers as directed. Pour the melted green chocolate into a piping bag fitted with a fine tip. Pipe small tree designs onto the Oreos and decorate with sprinkles.
Create the Reindeer Wafers
Line another baking sheet with parchment paper. Break pretzels into smaller pieces to resemble antlers. Melt the chocolate wafers according to the package instructions. Dip each wafer halfway into the melted chocolate and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Add the pretzel antlers, candy eyes, and a small candy or sprinkle for the nose. Allow everything to set completely.
Assemble the Board
Place the fruit dip bowl in the center of your board. Position the reindeer wafers and decorated Oreos at the corners. Fill in the remaining spaces with Christmas Tree cakes, fresh strawberries, raspberries, grapes, and M&Ms to create a colorful and inviting spread.
✨Tips for Creating a Stunning Charcuterie Board
Use a Large, Flat Surface
- A wooden board, slate, or large platter works great. Ensure it’s big enough to hold everything but not so large that it looks sparse.
Create a Focal Point
- Start with one or two larger items as the centerpiece, such as a cake, cupcakes, or a bowl of dip (e.g., chocolate ganache, caramel, or whipped cream). Build around these anchor points.
Add Small Bowls for Loose Items
- Use ramekins or small bowls for items like nuts, candies, or sauces. This keeps things tidy and adds dimension to your board.
Arrange in Groups
- Place similar items together for a tidy look and to make it easy for guests to grab their favorites. For example, cluster all the cookies in one section and the chocolates in another.
Play with Shapes and Sizes
- Use a variety of sizes and shapes, like round cookies, square brownies, and long breadsticks dipped in chocolate. This adds visual interest to your board.
Layer and Stack
- Layer items slightly or stack smaller treats on top of larger ones to give the board height and dimension.
Merry Christmas friends! Hope you guys have an amazing holiday season that is filled with joy, fun, and laughter!
